Bankruptcy Appraisals in New Jersey
We prepare independent real estate appraisals for bankruptcy attorneys, trustees and owners in New Jersey, with current or past effective dates.
An appraisal gives the parties a documented value for the property, which may be used for the schedules, a proposed sale or a dispute over value. Counsel sets the effective date and the purpose.
What we handle
- Homes, multi-family, land and commercial property
- Current or retrospective effective dates
- Expert testimony when a matter goes to a hearing
What we need from you
- The property address
- The effective date and intended use
- The attorney's or trustee's contact information
- Who can give us access for the inspection
Fees and timing
Most residential appraisals run $600–$900, depending on the property and the assignment. Commercial and industrial appraisals start at $1,750.
The written report is usually delivered within two weeks of the inspection, once we have the property information. We also offer rush appraisals: tell us your deadline when you call or email and we'll confirm whether we can meet it. An additional fee may apply.
