How much does an appraisal cost in New Jersey?

How long does an appraisal take?
The written report is usually delivered within two weeks of the inspection, once we have the property information.
Can you appraise a property as of a past date?
Yes. Retrospective values (the date of death, the complaint date in a divorce, or October 1 of the pre-tax year for a tax appeal) are a routine part of our work.
Do both spouses need to be at the inspection?
No. One party can provide access, and we keep both attorneys informed before and after the inspection.
Who pays when both sides use one appraiser?
Often the parties split the fee, as the court order or the attorneys direct.
Will the appraiser testify?
Yes. We provide expert testimony when a case goes to trial.
